Winter Organic Produce

Community Supported Agriculture

If you can't stand the thought of going back to produce from the grocery store, this is a great way to extend the summer season into winter! Produce is stored in dugouts, pits, and specially built straw-bale buildings. We are learning how to store "the old fashioned way" to reduce our dependency on utilities.

Members receive produce every other week from November through February.

Monroe Organic Farms winter produce includes:

bell peppers**
cabbage
carrots
celery*
Chinese cabbage
garlic
leeks*
lettuce*
onions
popcorn
potatoes
rutabagas
tomatoes*
winter squash
other**
*Available until the first or second hard freeze
**Some tender produce from the previous summer may be included if they have survived a light freeze.

Members pick up their produce at one of a variety of locations twice monthly.

One package size is available for the winter share. You are welcome to divide a share with another household, especially if you are a single-person household. All payments must come from one member only. Details and prices for the winter membership are available on the Sign-Up Form.

Bringing you the goodness Mother Nature intended.
