About Us

Community Supported Agriculture

Welcome to Monroe Organic Farm, the oldest organic farm in Colorado. In 1936, our family established the Monroe homestead in Weld County, and we have been growing organic produce ever since! We see ourselves as caretakers of this land that we have come to know like a cherished family member.

The goals for Monroe Organic Farms are simple:

  • Grow organic, life-filled, healthy food in ample quantities.
  • Conserve and respect the natural environment in which we work.
  • Provide an educational experience working with Mother Nature for members who want it.

Our farming philosophy emphasizes taste over size and appearance. We constantly try new and unique varieties—including heirlooms—to find the best tasting vegetables our farm can produce.

In 1993, we organized as a community-supported agriculture (CSA) project because we wanted to work closely with people who appreciate our famiing philosophy.

Bringing you the goodness Mother Nature intended.
